چکیده

In this paper, a semi-analytical approach is proposed to solve the scattering problem of flexural waves and to determine dynamic moment concentration factors (DMCFs) in an infinite thin plate with multiple circular holes. The null-field integral formulation is employed in conjunction with degenerate kernels, tensor transformation and Fourier series. In the proposed direct formulation, all dynamic kernels of plate are expanded into degenerate forms and further the rotated degenerate kernels have been derived for the general exterior problem. By uniformly collocating points on the real boundary, a linear algebraic system is constructed. The results of dynamic moment concentration factors for the plate with one hole are compared with the analytical solution to verify the validity of the proposed method. For the cases of small wave number, the quasi-static results of a plate with one or multiple circular holes are compared with the static data of finite element method (FEM) using ABAQUS. Numerical results indicate that the DMCF of two holes is apparently larger than that of one hole when two holes are close to each other. Fictitious frequency appeared in the external problem can be suppressed by using the more number of Fourier series terms. The effect of distance between the centers of holes on dynamic moment concentration factors is also investigated by using the proposed method. Keyword: scattering, flexural wave, dynamic moment concentration, biHelmholtz equation, null-field boundary integral equation, degenerate kernel, Fourier series

Diffuse energy propagation on heterogeneous plates: Structural acoustics radiative transfer theory" (1996). The propagation of diffuse energy on an unwetted flat plate with attached heterogeneities is examined using a statistical, multiple scattering approach. The statistically homogeneous heterogeneities lightly couple the membrane and flexural waves. The problem is formulated in terms of the ...

Simulation of Surface Plasmon Excitation in a Plasmonic Nano-Wire Using Surface Integral Equations

In this paper, scattering of a plane and monochromatic electromagnetic wave from a nano-wire is simulated using surface integral equations. First, integral equationsgoverning unknown fields on the surface is obtained based on Stratton-Cho surface integral equations. Then, the interaction of the wave with a non-plasmonic as well as a palsmonic nano-wire is considered. It is shown that in scatter...

In this paper, wave propagation approach is used to analysis the free vibration and buckling analysis of the thick rectangular plates based on higher order shear deformation plate theory. From wave viewpoint, vibrations can be considered as traveling waves along structures. Waves propagate in a waveguide and reflect at the boundaries. It is assumed that the plate has two opposite edge simply su...

Coupling and attenuation of waves in plates by randomly distributed attached impedances

Coupling and attenuation of waves in plates by randomly distributed attached impedances" The average response of an infinite thin plate with statistically homogeneous attached random impedances is examined. The added impedances, which represent typical heterogeneities that might occur on complex shells, provide light coupling between the extensional, shear, and flexural waves. The mean plate re...
